Heroes are regular persons

At 2011.09.27 “Etica in afaceri – renteaza sa fii bun?” / “Ethics in business – does it pay off to be good?”, Central University Library of Bucharest (BCU) – Get a result now! conference, I heard I nice thing by Tomáš SEDLÁČEK (approximate quote):

Heroes are, most of the times, regular people; the ordinary guy does a great thing; not the scientists / top thinkers / top sportsmen;

While I don’t agree 100%, the rule does well apply as an exception – sometimes, as an exception, the regular guys are heroes; but if you compare the number of elite humans to the heroes and the number of non-elite humans to the heroes, perhaps the idea won’t stay valid; so, in my opinion, the percentage of heroes among top people is higher than the percentage of heroes within regular people.
