The Turkish game

I recently had the opportunity to see a Romanian (perhaps of Turkish origin?) doing a nice game. The setting: Old center area (near Lipscani) in Bucharest. Dressed in what I take for a Turkish traditional costume. The ice cream was requested. He then did a wonderful game with the ice cream, he had a show of putting ice cream on the cone (sounds, a big tool). When handing the ice cream, he did a different game. He wouldn’t let the ice cream go, he would twist it and the ice cream wouldn’t fall. The final price of the ice cream seemed unreasonable. But I then thought – “Hey, I just missed a bigger opportunity – negotiation”. All his selling technique was a game. Why not the price be a game still. Take it seriously and you pay. Enter his game and enjoy the moment. To have the full fun, just say “I’ll only give you this amount”. And enjoy a new show.
